In 2010, I got my first DSLR camera , a Cannon 400D. It marked the beginning of a phase in which I felt like I started shooting like a photographer. The subject matter and the style of the photos during this time was predominantly determined by the destinations I visited with my parents. They have a great interest in places with cultural richness and ethnical diversity - Nepal, Morocco, Tibet, Xinjiang, etc. People from these places are mostly pure and very distinctive in character. Their facial expressions and their attire could easily become the focus of the frame. Consequently, the majority of the photos I captured during this period were portraits, each focusing on an individual.
